Nomadfoto is a boutique operation, producing only 25-30 weddings per year... as a choice.
Your wedding is unique, so should your pictures.
After many years of work around the world, professionally accomplished, I decided that meeting incredible, diverse people in this incredible, diverse city is more fun than obsessing with scale. I will always be present in person, supported by hand-picked colleagues, to help when necessary. You will never be "another client with the standard package" taken care of by "our associates"
The aim is to go beyond “just” the chronicle of the day. I’m a visual storyteller who tells the story of the day through the story of your emotions: I’ll help you remember your personal story, the way you lived it. I’ll follow you closely all the time, discreetly, at your pace, attentive to your experience and how you live it. I'll never pose you in stereotyped cliches: I'll be there to guide you, if necessary, but I will follow your mood, and together we will create something unique. And fun.
The quality of the prints, on fine art cotton paper, is outstanding, museum-grade, and unattainable from any third-party service.
I was uncertain ( you guess!): how do I describe myself?
The ingredients are the primary elements: hearth, water, light. So here I go: MSc in hydrogeology, chasing and taming the waters of this world, in love with light. Add fire, the passion (yes, I'm Italian :-) for images... and you get something interesting.
Bangkok, Amman... NYC    Welcome to Nomadfoto!
I started taking pictures in 1985, ( b&w film and darkroom) refining the art since. Permanently on the move, I visited all 5 continents capturing the world and its people.
I have worked and often lived, in deserts, forests, oceans, and mountains. I witnessed wars and disasters, but also human resilience, and the healing powers of beauty. I have worked to improve lives, and I always felt that there is a deeper story to be told.
The logo is part of this history. The original image pictures a Kochi nomad, in northern Afghanistan. I was on a mission for the UN when we passed a Khochi caravan, People, camels. Nothing else. In the XXI century.  Me, in a car at 50 km/hour, in the comfort of A/C, and them, walking, in the hot dry weather. But... aren't our lives not so different, after all? After all, defined by who we are, not what we have. The main difference, probably, my luck of being born in the rich north part of the world, with all that follows. But with many traits of a nomad, eternal human instinct to keep moving, to keep alive.
Well, I guess this is me: passion and rationality. I try to make sense of the life behind the scenery, and tell the story of both.
Nomadfoto was born in 2012 in Bangkok. Now It's in NY, the perfect place: the entire world in five boroughs. Still traveling, still discovering, now I'm exploring people more than places: it is incredible the stories this city can tell.
You're welcome If you want to join this storytelling ride: it is a beautiful journey.
